KU’s DSW organises one-day social service camp on Ashura

Srinagar: Kashmir University’s Department of Students Welfare (DSW) on Thursday organised a day-long social service camp at Imaambara Zadibal here on the sacred occasion of ‘Ashura’.
Officers and volunteers from DSW served the devotees with mineral water, juice and sharbat.
Dean of Students Welfare Prof Raies A Qadri said it is the continued endeavor of his department to be at the forefront of organising social service camps within and outside the university to help inculcate social and cultural values amongst youth while increasing the varsity’s connect with the society.
Dean School of Behavioural Sciences Prof Showket A Shah, Director North Campus Prof Pervaiz Ahmad, University Cultural Officer Shahid Ali Khan, Junior Coordinator DSW Zahid Jeelani Wani and other officials from DSW including Waseem Raja, Shahnawaz Wani and others actively participated in the camp, which was widely hailed in social circles.
