SBI donates computer equipment, accessories to Baitul Hilal Srinagar

Chairman JKYF extends gratitude, appeals well wishers, donors to contribute more

Srinagar: Under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), the State Bank of India (SBI) donated four new Branded Computer Systems with all accessories along with Computer Tables, to Baitul Hilal Jawahar Nagar, an orphanage under the aegis of J&K Yateem Foundation, here today.
Anita Khara, President SBI Ladies Club, along with other officials of the Bank handed over Computers and other equipment, to Chairman JKYF Mohammad Ahsan Rather, former Chairman Mohammad Rafiq Lone and Programme Executive Baitul Hilal Bashir Ahmad Bhat.
This was first visit of the Head of the SBI group to Kashmir.
She was accompanied by Sangeeta Bhatnagar, Asha Mishra, Rajiv Mengi, Parvaiz Ahmad, Farooq Ahmad, Maarat, Zeenat Ara, Wajahat Bashir Tak and Mohammad Majid.
The group was highly impressed by the facilities put in place by the Foundation for the students residing at Baitul Hilal. SBI officials assured their support in future also for the organisation .
Chairman Mohammad Ahsan Rather extended his gratitude to the visiting SBI officials for donating valuable items required for taking forward educational and vocational needs of the scholars at Baitul Hilal. He appealed other corporate and business organisations to come forward for the needy and the poor while fulfilling corporate social responsibility. He also appealed to well wishers and donors to contribute more in cash & kind so that the welfare & rehabilitation activities could be undertaken at a massive scale to benefit poor & needy orphans, widows and destitute across Jammu & Kashmir.
Pertinently, during the 2014 floods and 2018 fire incident, the JKYF had lost almost all movable and immovable assets including computers systems .
