DC Kupwara expresses gratitude to people for achieving 100% Vaccination target

Urges youth for Administration of Covid vaccine

KUPWARA: The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kupwara, Imam Din today expressed gratitude to the people of Kupwara district and stakeholders for their efforts in mitigation of COVID pandemic.
The DC was addressing a presser in his office chamber, here today.
Giving details, the Deputy Commissioner said that 100 percent people of above 45 year age have been vaccinated for which he congratulated the people of the district. He said 40.45 percent of the 18 to 44 year age group have been vaccinated till date, adding that the positivity rate stands at 0.37 percent while recovery rate stands at 98.6 percent which is a sign of satisfaction.
The DC reiterated his appeal to the people of the district to continuously follow the COVID appropriate behaviour and other SOPs. He appealed to the youth to come forward and administer COVID vaccine at nearby vaccination centres for their safety against the pandemic.
He said by following COVID appropriate behaviour religiously, we can keep possible third wave of COVID at bay.
Nodal Officer COVID, Ghulam Nabi Sheikh and District Epidemiologist, Naseer Ahmad Wani were present at the occasion.
