SHOPIAN: The District Development Council (DDC) Member, Shopian, Raja Wahid today stressed upon the people to strictly adhere to Covid-19 Appropriate Behaviour (CAB) and SOPs to keep Covid at bay.
Wahid congratulated the public for extending their cooperation to the District Administration for achieving breakthrough in mitigation of Ist and 2nd wave of Covid-19 pandemic, he however cautioned against resorting to lackadaisical attitude following improvement in number of cases.
He said that the need of an hour is to adhere to CAB, SOPs in letter and spirit to avoid the emergence of a third wave of the pandemic. He appealed to the people to further extend their cooperation to the administration to prevent resurgence of Covid by making sure the usage of masks and other SOPs.
Wahid added that the life is precious, save yourself and others by following the Covid-19 guidelines issued by the Government off and on in this regard. He further said that the recovery rate has gone up which is a sign of satisfaction for the district.
He said that vaccination is one of the key elements to prevent oneself from contracting viruses therefore all the people should come forward and get themselves vaccinated at nearby vaccination centres for their own safety.
The DDC Member also applauded the Health Functionaries for playing a vital role in achieving the required target of vaccination.
