DC Kupwara appeals people not to lower guard against Covid pandemic

Stresses for Administration of vaccination, continue following CAB

KUPWARA: The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kupwara, Imam Din today appealed to the people, not to lower guard against the Covid pandemic and continue following the Covid Appropriate Behaviour (CAB).
The DC was addressing a presser in his office chamber, here today.
Giving details, the DC said that 99.05 percent people of above 45 year age and 35.15 percent of 18 to 44 year age group have been vaccinated till date. He said the positivity rate stands at 0.27 percent while, recovery rate stands at 98.54 percent which is a sign of satisfaction for the district.
He reiterated his appeal to the people of the district to continuously follow the CAB and other SOPs. He appealed to the people to come forward and administer Covid vaccine at nearby vaccination centres for their safety against the pandemic.
Chief Medical Officer Kupwara, Mehraj-U-Din Sofi, DHO, Ab Gani Dar, DIO, M Yousuf Mir and Nodal Officer Covid, Ghulam Nabi Sheikh were present at the occasion.
