Srinagar: Real Estates Sultan Warriors,MAAK CC won their matches of the ongoing Jammu Kashmir Premier League t20 cricket tournament played at Green Valley Educational Institute on Monday.
The first match was played between Team Hooked and Sultan warriors. After winning the toss, Sultan decided to bat first and posted a total of 143 runs.
Dardish Goni scored 36 of 27 balls while Rayees Nazir scored 22 of 17 balls.
For Team Hooked Riyaz Ahmad and Rafiq Baba took two wickets each. Chasing the target, Team Hooked were bundled on 90 runs. Dr Sajad with 25 of 19 balls and Aqib Sidiq made 15 of just 14 balls were main contributors’ to the scoreboard for Team Hooked . For Sultan warriors Gowhar was pick of the bowlers and took five wickets conceeding only 13 runs in 4 overs and Mehran claimed three wickets. Gowhar for his outstanding bowling performance was declared as Man of the Match.
The second match was played between MAAK and Nunnu Stars. Nunnu stars won the toss and elected to bat. They posted a target of 155 runs for the loss of 5 wickets. Bilal Rather (63 of 41 balls) which include six huge sixes and Adil Sofi (46 of 38 balls) were among the leading run scorers. For MAAK Cricket club Bilal Ahmad and Umer Shafi took two wickets each. Batting second MAAK comfortably chased the target in 18 overs loosing only 3 wickets . Amir played sensational innings of 72 of 52 balls not out and Owais (31 of 21 balls) were top scrorers for their team. Mehjoor Ali ,Meer Saleem and Sahil Jan took 1 wicket each for Nunnu Stars. Amir For his outstanding batting performance was adjudged as man of the match.
