Missing women found dead in Baramulla orchards, family staged protest

BARAMULLA: A woman missing since Thursday morning in Baramulla outskirts was found dead under mysterious circumstances in orchards on Friday.
Official sources in the police said that Fareeda Begum 45 wife of Gulzar Ahmad Mir resident of Guitars Baramulla had gone to their orchards on Thursday morning for some work, however she could not back to her home. Later in the evening the family members along with a team of Baramulla police started its search, but could not trace her.
On Friday morning the search was resumed and finally the search teams find her body inside the orchards.
The body of the woman was later taken to hospital for examination and further investigation has also been started, the cause of death was not known when last reports came in.
Meanwhile, the family members and other people of the area staged a protest at Akbar chowk Kantabagh on Srinagar Baramulla highway, the protesters blamed that it is a murder and police should investigate and book murderers immediately.
However, an officer of the Baramulla police said that investigation is going on, as they will conclude the investigation they will took further steps.
