Hajin Youth fights menace of wild cannabis by taking up brush cutter

HAJIN: A local youth from Hakbara village of Hajin area in north Kashmir’s Bandipora district has initiated removal of thickets of wild bung that have cropped up in various areas. .
While speaking to Kashmir Reader Ayaz Ahmad he said that I took this initiative in removing the Bung cultivation with an aim to keep the youth away from drugs and save their precious lives.
He said that I have arranged the brush cutter and used the fuel from my own pocket and carried out the eradication by clearing at least 8 kanals of this wild growth..
He added that given the easy access to this bung plantation, I decided to act on time so that this wild growth could be erased.
Ayaz said that he will carry the drive in every mohalla wherever the cultivation is visible .
My sole aim is to eradicate the drug menace from society and want to save the lives of youth who are involved in the drugs’.
Drug menace has become a nuisance particularly in this area and he urged youth come forward and save the youth from this.
Ayaz added that he is doing it for the sake of almighty Allah and will get reward from Allah for this cause.
The local police and excise department destroyed a lot of bung cultivation in Hakabra village and arrested many people in the area.
