Police arrests two absconders after 25 years in Baramulla

BARAMULLA: Baramulla police on Tuesday said that they apprehended two absconders involved in crime against women after 25 years.
In a statement, police said that Baramulla police under the supervision of Syed Sajad Hussain DSP headquarters assisted by inspector Syed Showkat Ahmad, SHO Baramulla arrested two more absconders namely Khursheed Ahmad Ahanger son of Nazir Ahmad Ahanger resident of Azadgunj and Tariq Ahmad Mir son of Abdul Khaliq Mir of Kakerhamam Baramulla.
The absconders, who were evading arrest in case FIR number 50 of 1997 under section 452, 354 RPC of police station Baramulla. The absconders were immediately produced before the court where from they were shifted to jail.
The statement reads that on 04/03/1997, case FIR number 50 of 1997 under section 452, 354 RPC of police station Baramulla came to be registered against three accused including the said absconders and the instant case was challaned against the accused before court on 03/04/1997. During the trial the said accused were declared as absconders by the court.
