Restoration work on Hernaag spring at Pahloo Kulgam begins

KULGAM: The Rural Development Department (RDD) Kulgam today kick-started restoration work on Hernaag Spring at village Pahloo, here.
The foundation stone of the work project was laid by District Development Commissioner (DDC) Kulgam, Dr. Bilal Mohi-Ud-Din Bhat.
It was informed that the work has been taken up under MGNREGA scheme and project will come up at a cost of 19.95 lacs
ACD Mohammad Imran Khan informed that the spring will help to irrigate more than 2 hectares of land per day and several villages in Pahaloo area will get drinking water facility after renovation of this spring.
Expected out flow of this spring is 5000 gallon per hour and located at a picturesque place, the site can be developed as a picnic spot.
Present on the occasion were ACD, Mohammad Imran Khan, ACR, Mir Imtiyaz-ul-Aziz, BDO, Mohammad Ismail and other officers.
