CMD NHPC visits Dulhasti Power Station to review progress

SRINAGAR: Chairman and Managing Director, NHPC A.K. Singh visited Dulhasti Power Station Kishtwar and reviewed the progress of hydroelectric projects of NHPC and CVPPPL proposed and located in the district.
In this sequence, on the third day of the visit, A.K. Singh inaugurated a 500 KWp grid connected Solar power plant Installed by Dulhasti Power Station at Semna colony. Thereafter, A.K. Singh inspected the Solar power plant and reviewed the operation works.
Nirmal Singh, General Manager (In-Charge), Dulhasti Power Station informed that the solar power plant is estimated to generate 657000 kWh power per year. Earlier, A.K. Singh visited the proposed site of Dulhasti-II Hydroelectric Project and reviewed the progress of ongoing works related to the project. He directed the officers for timely completion of investigation works of the project, which is a positive and important step for the development of Dulhasti-II project.
Thereafter, A.K. Singh visited the power house of Dulhasti Power Station and took stock of the operation and maintenance works. On this occasion, a meeting was organized in the conference hall of Power House, in which Nirmal Singh, General Manager (In-Charge) briefed about the Dam, Power House and other administrative works of Dulhasti Power Station through a presentation. A.K. Singh also visited the Semna and Shalimar colony of the power station.
Besides this, A.K. Singh also held a meeting with the trade union members of the power station and discussed various issues. Further, keeping in view the Corona pandemic, Singh addressed the officers, employees of Dulhasti Power Station and CVPPPL through video conferencing. In his address, he called upon everyone to work hard and diligently to take the corporation to new heights of success. He congratulated everyone for high generation of electricity from the power station even during the Corona period.
He said, that Dulhasti Power Station is one of the most profit making power station of NHPC. He also encouraged everyone to get themselves and their family members Corona vaccinated. Before departure from Dulhasti Power Station, Singh visited Kendriya Vidyalaya of Dulhasti Power Station on 28.06.2021 in the morning. On this occasion, A.K. Choudhary, Managing Director, Chenab Valley Power Projects Pvt. Ltd. (CVPPPL), Rajan Kumar, Regional Head, NHPC Regional Office Jammu, Nirmal Singh, General Manager (Incharge), Dulhasti Power Station, Dr. Nisha Sharma, General Manager (Medical Services), R.N. Sharma, General Manager (Civil), Surendra Kumar Mishra, General Manager (Electrical) and other officers and employees of Dulhasti Power Station were remain present.
