Police arrests drug peddler in Baramulla; Psychotropic substance recovered

SRINAGAR: Police in Baramulla have arrested a drug peddler and recovered psychotropic substance from his possession.
Officers from Police Station Baramulla under the supervision of DySP Hqrs Baramulla at a checkpoint established at Ushkara Crossing intercepted one person identified as Firdous Ahmad Parray son of Late Ali Mohammad Parray resident of Parray Mohalla Sangri Colony.
During checking, officers were able to recover 200 Tramadol Injections from his possession. He has been arrested and shifted to Police station where he remains in custody.
Accordingly, a case under relevant sections of law stands registered at Police Station Baramulla and investigation has been initiated.
Community members are requested to come forward with any information regarding drug peddlers in their neighbourhood. Persons found indulging in drug peddling will be dealt as per law. Our consistent actions against drug peddlers should reassure the community members that we are making efforts to keep our society free from the scourge of drug menace.
