Islamia college students demand authorities hold online exams

SRINAGAR: Students from the Islamia College of Science and Commerce, who are presently submitting their examination forms, are demanding that the college authorities should conduct exams in online mode.
They said that the college has not issued any notification regarding the mode of examinations amid the pandemic, making the students more anxious.
The students said that presently they have submitted their examinations form to the college in online mode.
Most of the students demand that their exams should be conducted online rather than offline mode.
A student from the college told Kashmir Reader that they confused as the college authorities have not issued any notification about the mode of examination.
He said that in the month of March we attended our class both online and offline mode, after the Covid-19 cases surged we attended the classes online. Now, we are demanding the college authorities hold our examinations online.
“During the present situation across the Kashmir valley the JKBOSE, IUST, Cluster University, and Kashmir University are conducting the examinations of the students through online modes, but Islamia College administration has no clear on how the exams will be conducted.
Principal, Islamia College Science and Commerce, Professor Sheikh Ajaz Bashir said that presently the students are submitting their examinations forms to the college in online mode.
“We have not fixed the dates of the examinations and it have not decided yet whether the examinations will be conducted online or offline,” Prof Ajaz said
He said that this will be decided after all the students will submit their examination forms. “It is also our responsibility to take care of our college students in this pandemic situation, and we will not let our students suffer”
