CEO SHA J&K reviews progress of AB-PMJAY & SEHAT scheme in Srinagar

Srinagar: Chief Executive Officer, State Health Agency, J&K, Dr Sagar D Doifode (IAS) today reviewed progress of AB-PMJAY & SEHAT Scheme for district Srinagar. The meeting was held at DC Office Srinagar and was Chaired by DC Srinagar, Muhammad Aijaz (IAS).
Deputy Chief Executive Officer, State Health Agency, J&K, Dr. Ata-Ul-Munim Tak (KAS), Medical Superintendents, Nodal Officers & Medical Co-ordinators of all the major Public Tertiary Health-care Providers, CMO Srinagar, Dr. Jameel Ahmad Mir, Mr. Uday Singh, Regional Manager Bajaj Allianz General Insurance Company Limited and other officers of the health department along with District Manager CSCs attended the meeting.
A brief presentation on the progress in terms of Beneficiary Identification and Treatments provided to the beneficiaries was made.
DC Srinagar asked CMO Srinagar to involve Revenue, Health Services, Social Welfare and Rural Development Department officials for door to door survey and organize village assemblies and registration melas in Municipal areas to cover the left out beneficiaries under the prestigious scheme.
He stressed upon the BMOs to work relentlessly so that no eligible person is left uncovered under the scheme besides stressed upon the need to speed up the registration process, maintaining close coordination with other stake holders so that the registration of deserving people is done in a time bound manner.
He directed CSC District Manager to install additional enrolment machines and devices besides mobilize manpower in all the health blocks to fast-track the enrolment process on National Portal and ensure that beneficiaries in their respective districts come to Common Service Centers (CSCs) for enrolment and receiving Ayushman Cards.
The Chairman also reviewed the progress of implementation of the scheme in the empanelled hospitals in the district and was apprised of the number of patients already being given free health care facilities under Ayushman Bharat PM-JAY & AB PM-JAY SEHAT scheme so far.
The CEO expressed hope that through the efforts of all those involved with PMJAY, and the dedication of the doctors, nurses, healthcare providers, ASHAs, ANMs etc, the scheme would become a big success for poor, needy and deserving people in the district. He furthermore asked all hospital administrators to provide benefits to all the in-patients without fail.
The Chairman urged all the participants to put in efforts to make this prestigious scheme a success by following a two pronged strategy. One, register every resident of the district and two, provide free and cashless treatment to all the in-patients.
