SHOPIAN: The Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Shopian, Dr. Sheikh Ab Aziz today inaugurated a Blood Donation camp at District Hospital Shopian.
The camp was organised by the Red Cross Society Shopian in collaboration with the Health Department.
Speaking at the occasion, the ADC said that the objective of conducting such camps is to ensure better healthcare for the people of far flung areas.
On the occasion, 10 pint blood was donated on the spot besides, local youth from different areas also contributed to the blood bank. As many as 15 volunteers registered themselves for blood donation as and when required.
Meanwhile, the ADC distributed certificates of appreciation among some blood donors.
