Police crackdown on Covid violators in Pampore

Pampore: Police in Pampore booked a shopkeeper and a driver in two different FIR’s besides releasing a fine of Rs 55,500 for violation of covid weekend lockdown in Pampore on Saturday.
The Tehsil administration Pampore also sealed seven shops in the Lethpora area of Pampore.
SDPO Mir Imtiyaz Ahmad told Kashmir Reader that one shopkeeper who had kept his readymade garment shop at Drangbal open in violation of the government order.
A case FIR number 89/2022 under section 269 , 270, 189 IPC has been registered in this regard
He said, a driver of vehicle bearing registration number JK01AM-9806, resident of Sempora Panthachowk also arrested who defied the restrictions in Pampore. A case FIR 88/2021 under section 269,270, 353, 188 IPC was registered in this regard,” he said.
Police released Rs 55,500 fine from many vehicle owners who were plying on the roads without pass/permission and violating weekend restrictions in Pampore and Khrew area .
Police Pampore also distributed hundreds of face masks among locals, he said.
Meanwhile, seven shops were sealed in the Lethpora area of Pampore Tehsil for violating the weekend lockdown orders.
A team of revenue officials of Pampore led by Naib Tehsildar Pampore Mohammad Ameen conducted a surprise inspection at Lethpora area of Pampore.
During the inspection seven shops selling dry fruits, kiryana, and crockery items were sealed for violating the weekend lockdown orders.
Naib Tehsildar told Kashmir Reader that they were receiving information that some shops were violating weekend lockdown orders.
