Buchpora residents seeks LG’s intervention about water scarcity

Srinagar: Residents of Sarfie Colony, Lane No 3, Buchpora, Srinagar have appealed LG Manoj Sinha for ending water scarcity in their locality that according to locals has not not been resolved by the officials of Jal Shakti since long.
The locals said that Jal Shakti officials could not end the crisis in the locality starting in the holy month of Ramadhan followed by Eid.
Now with summers, the residents say that the problem of potable water has increased manifold as the supply is scant to fulfill their needs.
Tariq Ahmad, resident of the area said, “We approached all the senior officials of the concerned department to find out the problem that led to sudden decrease in water flow to the colony, and they assured of rectifying the faults if any .
Khalid Ahmad, another resident said life has become miserable day by day, lamenting the fact that some of the areas do have round the clock supply.
The locals have also sent representations to top officials including Chief Secretary, PHE department but till date nothing has been done to end their woes, seeking an early intervention from the LG Manoj Sinha for early resolving their problem.
