Pampore: Door to door vaccination drive started in Pampore area of South Kashmir’s Pulwama district on Thursday.
A joint team of officials from health department, revenue and Municipal Committee Pampore under the supervision of Tehsildar Pampore, Ishtiyaq Mohi-ud-Din launched a door to door vaccination campaign in Doninar Pampore.
The campaign was also held at Ladhoo, Meej, Patalbagh and Samboora areas of Pampore.
The drive will continue till the set target is achieved.
“People above 45 age group are vulnerable, we saw many deaths in this age group, our endeavour is to vaccinate all people in this age group, however, at some places there was less response,” Tehsildar Pampore Ishtiyaq Mohi-ud-Din told Kashmir Reader, adding that they carried out a door to door vaccination at such places.
” The door to door vaccination drive is being carried out at Pampore, Meej and Ladhoo Jewan Sahib, where we motivated reluctant people to vaccinate,” he said, appealing to people of plus 45 age group to come forward and get vaccinated. He also appealed to people to cooperate with health teams during the campaign.
“The door to door vaccination is a great opportunity for you to get vaccinated at your place, otherwise you have to travel to vaccination centres,” he said.
During the campaign, many non locals at Ganderbal were also asked to get the jab.
