PSAJK expresses condolence with Showkat Hussain Khan

SRINAGAR: Founder Managing Director of Shanti Niketan College and Doon School Srinagar Akbar Khan passed away on Sunday.

He was a successful Educationalist who founded Shanti Niketan College and Doon school.According to family he was A man with no family fortune, no other type of wealth in hand, and no significant savings went on to become one of the biggest educationalist in Kashmir which made Akbar Khan an inspiration for many.

Showkat Hussain Khan ( Chairman of Shanti Niketan College and Doon School Srinagar) said that there was, is and will be no one like Papa.

“ You brought out the best in each one of us and taught us how to broaden our horizons. You remain part of our being, guiding and watching over us, lighting our path and reminding us each day of the possibilities life holds,’ he said adding that it is Akbar Khan’s vision and values that have guided the magnificent. We all can feel his presence as we pay tribute to this great soul, who redefined the destiny of our community and its people.

He according to them was Arguably the most powerful man, his huge success dwarfed the controversies of wheelings and dealings that surrounded him but his overall warmth and humility won him many friends and well-wishers cutting across the full spectrum of society.

Meanwhile, Private Schools’ Association of Jammu and Kashmir (PSAJK) has expressed its profound condolence with Showkat Hussain Khan, Chairman Doon International School Srinagar on the sad demise of his father, who breathed his last at SKIMS yesterday.

Expressing sympathy with the bereaved family President Private Schools’ Association of Jammu and Kashmir (PSAJK) G N Var said that every member of the education fraternity stands shoulder to shoulder with the bereaved family at this hour of grief.

In view of the current situation and social distancing measures in place, the Association held a virtual condolence meeting in which rich tributes were paid to the departed soul.

The deceased was a noble and righteous person and was known for his humble and pious nature. Praying for the highest place in Jannah to the departed soul and strength to the family to bear the irreparable loss, the speakers expressed their heartfelt sympathies with the bereaved family.
