PAMPORE: A youth was found dead under suspicious circumstances in Pampore area of South Kashmir’s Pulwama district on Wednesday morning.
Locals told Kashmir Reader that panic gripped the Kadlabal area of Pampore, when they saw the body of a youth lying in the premises of a local graveyard.
The locals immediately informed the police Pampore, they said, adding a team headed by SDPO Pampore Imtiyaz Ahmad along with SHO Pampore Mohammad Younis Khan was rushed to the area and the body was taken shifted to Hospital for postmortem.
SHO Pampore Mohammad Younis Khan told Kashmir Reader that the body of a youth was salvaged from a graveyard at Kadlabal area of the Saffron town.
He said some locals spotted the body in the graveyard in Kadlabal area and informed police Pampore. He said a team of police from police station Pampore reached the spot and took the body into their possession.
The deceased was identified as Haziq Ahmad Hajam son of Mohammad Shafi, a resident of Kadlabal Pampore. The body of the victim was taken to Sub district hospital Pampore for medico formalities after which body was handed over to the family members for last rites.
The police registered a case under section 174 CrPC and launched investigation into the matter, they said
