JKYF brings 130 food kits at the doorsteps of poor, deserving widow headed families incurring expenditure of approx Rs 1.95 Lakh in Baramulla district

1.80 Lakh transferred to the bank accounts of 90 deserving families in Kulgam district

Srinagar: J&K Yateem Foundation (JkYF) distributed and brought 130 food kits at the doorsteps of poor & deserving widow headed families incurring an expenditure of approx Rs 1.95 Lakh, in various areas in North Kashmir’s Baramulla district, during last two days.

Under the supervision of District Representative Sheikh Abdul Gani, the volunteers of JKYF while adhering to COVID Appropriate Behaviour & SOPs wearing face masks, maintaining physical distancing and hand hygiene, carried food kits at the doorsteps in areas under Sopore, Rafiabad, Zainageer A & B, Baramulla and Tangmarg Tehsils of Baramulla district.

The volunteers while keeping Ramadhan fast, travelled far and wide in all these areas mostly by foot in interior rough areas to deliver food kits at the doorsteps of destitute & deserving families headed by widows.

Each food kit costing Rs 1500/- contained Flour, Salt, Namkeen Tea, Turmeric Powder, Chilli Powder, Sugar, Pulses, Detergent Powder, Edible Oil & Dates.

JKYF has already initiated various activities aimed at bringing succour in varied forms at the doorsteps of poor, deserving and destitute widow headed families in all the districts across Jammu & Kashmir as part of “Special Ramadhan Succour” during prevailing COVID pandemic.
Meanwhile J&K Yateem Foundation Kulgam unit credited an amount of 180000 in the bank accounts of 90 families of the district.These families receive the assistance on regular basis under different heads.
