CMO Budgam asks people above 45 to carry vaccination

BUDGAM: The Chief Medical officer Budgam on Friday said that the people above 45 years of age in the district should go for the vaccination which is conducted by the health department in the concerned health centres and sub-district hospitals across the district.
Tajamul Hussain Khan, Chief Medical officer Budgam told the Kashmir Reader that the people should visit the nearest health centres or Sub-district hospital to do vaccination for their safety.
“From next month May, the people from the 18 years of age will also get a vaccination dose in the district. This vaccination will be started from First May 2021 in the district,” He said.
He said due to the rise of the covid-19 cases in the district, the people should wear the masks, maintaining the social district following the covid-19 guidelines. The people who are suffering from any kind of medical illness or any kind of disease should avoid the gatherings or public crowds for their safety purpose.
“Due to the pandemic disease of the covid-19, 125 deaths have taken place across the district. Presently we have 756 active positive cases in the district,” Khan said.
“ From the year 2020- 23rd April this Month, 9469 positive cases have been reported in the district, in which 8588 cases have been recovered from the covid-19. Presently we have 11 Micro Containment zones in the district,” He added.
He further said that from last year 2,68185 sampling both RAT and RTPCR sampling of the people have been conducted across the district till this date,”.
