Fire destroys workshop in Pampore

Pampore: Fire damaged a workshop in Litterbal Pampore area of South Kashmir’s Pulwama district.
The workshop contained three shops in a tin shed. Many items including tyres, lubricants and spare parts were damaged.
Local residents informed Kashmir Reader that the workshop was owned by Gulzar Ahmad Mir, son of Abdul Aziz , resident of Tulbagh Pampore.
On getting information, police team Pampore rushed to the spot and informed the Department of Fire and Emergency Services.
Fire fighters along with tender reached the spot and started operation to douse the flames.
” Yesterday evening we received a call from police station Pampore that fire erupted in a workshop in Litterbal near LPG plant,” Abdul Hai, incharge fire and emergency station Pampore told Kashmir Reader, adding they reached the spot and launched firefighting operation.
” The workshop was dealing in lubricants ,tyres and spare parts, we used water and foam to control the flames,” he said, adding that the fire was brought under control.
He said that the fire erupted due to a short circuit.
