BANDIPORA: A team led by Additional District Development Commissioner (ADDC) Bandipora, Afsari Ali Khan on Monday conducted an administrative inspection of the office of Assistant Road Transport Officer Bandipora to monitor the complaint redressal mechanism.
Joint Director Planning Imtiyaz Ahmad, District Information Officer Jahangeer Akhoon, District Informatics Officer Mala Ram also accompanied the ADDC on the occasion.
The Administrative Inspection is the district level initiative devised on the directions of Deputy Commissioner Bandipora, Dr Owais Ahmad.
In a first, the team inspected the ARTO office at Mini-Secretariat Bandipora and monitored the complaint redressal mechanism, time bound and responsive service delivery system. The team reviewed the functioning of the department and interacted with the officers besides checking the attendance of the officials.
The team also interacted with the office visitors to get the feedback about the services delivery mechanism. During the inspection several employees were found absent and action has been recommended against the absent employees.
The committee set a timeline for ARTO to submit a report on desired parameters within weeks’ time.
On the occasion ADDC urged the public to put their grievances of any department on slow delivery or malpractice etc in writing before 30th April. He said the inspection is a step forward in delivery of services under PSGA in Bandipora.
