Army holds free medical camp along with Rotary Club Pune, local administration

Baramulla : The Rashtriya Rifles Of Indian Army under the aegis of Dagger Division/Dagger Gunners organised a medical at Baramulla. The free camp called “A Healing touch to Awaam” was organised at UPHC,in Old Town, Baramulla for the the local populace with number of doctors which included gynecologist, eye surgeon, eye specialist, family physician, general physician, general surgeon, pathologist, medical officers and nursing staff from Rotary Club Pune, BMO Sheeri & Indian Army fraternity.
In a stement issued here it said that 634 people turned up from adjoining areas and availed the services offered.. The voluntary medical team of doctors & medical staff from Rotary Club Pune, BMO Sheeri, & Indian Army diagnosed the needy which were highly appreciated by the locals
The aim of the camp was to outreach for alleviating their genuine medical problems instilled a sense of trust and belongingness in the minds of people & Building mutual trust, Confidence and Codependency between Awaam and Army.
An Initiative by the Army for the locals aimed to reduce hardships of the people living In this area. The medical check-up was conducted and medicines were also distributed among people.
It showcased the care, empathy and resolute will of the Indian Army to have healthy and happy Kashmir, especially kids & elderly. The event is yet another step by Indian Army to strengthen the Awaam Army Connect. The event was appreciated by all present and brought smiles on the face of locals.
Local Population hailed this move by Indian Army to organize such camps.
