Cleanness drive launched in Pampore town

PAMPORE: Tehsildar Pampore Ishtiyaq Mohi-ud-Din launched cleanliness drive at various places in the Saffron Town Pampore area of south Kashmir’s Pulwama district.
He was leading a team of Municipal Committee Pampore in order to clean the hotspots.
The Tehsildar Pampore Ishtiyaq Mohi-ud-Din told Kashmir Reader that they had been directed by Deputy Commissioner Pulwama Baseer-Ul-Haq Choudhary and Additional Deputy Commissioner Awantipora Zaffar Hussain Shawl to act along with Municipal Committee Pampore to launch special cleanliness drive in order to keep the town clean and prevent any untoward incident.
He said that he had received many complaints from residents who had been stressing to make Lal Arifa Park @ Laltrag Park clean from the litter that people throw in it.
The officials said that the drive held spots like at Lal Arifa Park @ Lal Trag park, Kalib Kadal, Drangbal and other places.
Tehsildar Pampore Ishtiyaq Mohi-ud-Din, Executive Officer Municipal Committee Pampore Mohammad Iqbal, others, Municipal Committee officials and dozens of Safai Karamcharis participated in the cleanliness drive.
“We have launched this aggressive drive at hotspots and will continue for a month,” he said, adding that this exercise could be fruitful only and only with the cooperation of people.
He also stressed that important public places like Laltrag Park must be kept clean so that people can entertain their leisure time without any suffocation there.
