Women’s degree College Pulwama conducts annual road race

SRINAGAR: UG third Semester student Rohi Jan bagged first position followed by Nida and Kamar-ul-Nisa, of Second semester finished third in Women’s degree College Pulwama annual road race held on Saturday at Pulwama.
The race was held from Circular Road Drusso to Womens college Pulwama and was flagged off by college Principal, Prof. Mushtaq Ahmad Lone.
Principal of the college was chief guest on prize diatribution ceremony and gave away the prizes.Position holders were awarded with cash prises of ₹2000, ₹1500, ₹1000 respectively. Ten consolation prizes of ₹500 were awarded to the next ten students proportionally. Furthermore trophies and medals were also distributed among the awardees.
Speaking on the ceremony Principal appreciated the participating students for their enthusiastic participation. He also appraised the role of Syed Manzoor Ahmad Andrabi (APTI) and Dr Satinder Singh (Convener Sports) and other non teaching and local fund employees for assisting in making the event a success. A total number of 40 students participated in this event.
The race was conducted by Physical Education and Sports, department of Government Degree College for women Pulwama.
