Dardapora villagers from Kupwara hold protest, demand basic facilities for their village

SRINAGAR:The residents from the Dardpora village at Lolab area in North Kashmiri Kupwara district on Friday held a protest demonstration here in Srinagar demanding the government to provide the basic facilities in the Village.
Scores of protesters from Dardpora village assembled here press enclave and chanting the slogans in favour of their demands.
The protesting villagers said that the villagers are facing a lot of difficulties on a daily basis, due to the lack of the basic facilities in the village.
Parveez Rasool, one of the protesters from Dardpora village said that before 70 years the road length of the village was 8 feet which not increased past 7 decades in the village. However the locals have given the land to the government before 20 years age. So, that the length of the road will be increased in the village.
“Twenty years have passed away, the work has not started yet in the village. The village did not have the basic facilities like roads, Play ground, ATM machine and fire service , ” He said
Rasool said that our village is very beautiful in the Lolab area. Our village is coming in the forward village in the Lolab area as per the government documents, but when we see the condition of the village. Then it can be easily counted in the backwards village in the area.
” Due to the worst condition of the schools, the students of our village are also facing the difficulties in the schools, ” He said
” From 70 years, the deputy commissioner of the district has never visited our village
Before 2 months ago we approached the concerned deputy commissioner to visit our village. So, that deputy commissioner will know ground situation of our village and the development work can take place in the area, ” he said.
