Uproar against the Rizvi’s anti-Quran remark

Srinagar: Condemning the anti-Quran remarks by an anti Islam element, Waseem Rizvi, Islamic Fraternity (IF) has appealed all the Islamic scholars and leaders to expose and brought this anti-Islam element to justice.
President IF, Muhammad Aamir said that there is no power on earth that can amend even a single word of Quran and those who tried, failed disgracefully.
“Quran is the word of Creator, the Supreme Power of Heavens and Earth. Neither can any change His work nor is there any power on earth that can make amendments in His book. Enemies of Islam tried hard in the past to amend the Quran but Allah disgraced them by ruining their all plans. This anti-Islam element (Waseem Rizvi) will meet the same fate,” he said.
He said that the Holy Quran stood all the attacks by its enemies only because Allah has promised in his Book: “He has revealed the Quran and He will protect it”.
“These Verses form base of Muslim faith. Only a disgraced and a namesake Muslim like Rizwi will refuse to believe in that,” he said.
Saying that the blasphemous comments have not only deeply hurt the sentiments of Muslims but has angered the whole Muslim Ummah, he said that if Government of India is sincere towards Muslim community, they should immediately arrest and take strict action against him.
“Now is the time for GoI to show how much they respect Muslim Community. If a namesake anti-Islam element like Rizwi who attempted to tarnish the image of Islam by attacking sacred scriptures, is let free without any punishment, Muslims will lose faith in Indian justice system,” Aamir said
Rizvi, recently approached the Supreme Court for elimination of 26 verses of the Quran. As per Rizvi’s petition, these verses incite violence and were allegedly added on in the Quran later in the period of the first three Caliphs.
However, both Shia and Sunni clerics have said that not a single word has been altered or tampered with in the original Quran in the last 1400 years.
The Jammu and Kashmir Anjuman-E-Sharie Shian President Aga Syed Hassan Mosavi Al-Safavi also strongly condemned the so-called petition challenging the Holy Quran and its chapters.
In a statement Aga Hassan said that random people like Waseem Razvi must be reminded that they are acting at the behest of a nakedly majoritarian regime that has systematically eroded the dignity of Muslims in general and Kashmiris in particular.
“We strongly condemn the communal policies that is furthered by its mercenaries across the country .Their abominable plots for the purpose of their despicable designs will be resisted by all of us by standing together against the such forces.”
General secretary of Majlis-e-Ulama-e-Hind Maulana Kalbe Jawad and Imam of Aishbagh Eidgah Maulana Khalid Rasheed Farangimahali on Friday condemned former Shia waqf board chairperson Waseem Rizvi for making controversial statements against the Quran.
Both the senior Shia and Sunni clerics unanimously demanded that Rizvi be arrested for insinuating unwanted inter-community sentiments between the two communities.
