Budgam: Shehjaar Cultural Forum (SCF) on Thursday organised a cultural event here in Alamnag village in central Kashmir Budgam district.
The event was presided over by social activist and poet Dr Ghulam Mohammad Shadab president Shehjaar Cultural Forum, while the event was attended by more than a dozen poets.
In his address on the occasion, Shadab said that Forum is a great platform for poets and people having literary taste to showcase their talent in art, cultural and literary activities and also to promote the rich artistic and cultural heritage of valley.
Besides Shadab, the event was attended by Ghulam Ahmad Muztar, Fayaz Ahmad Fayaz, Abdul Aziz Baitab, Gh Nabi Parwaz, Dr Gh Mohiuddin Dar, Ghulam Mohammad Dar Masroor, Shameema Akther Akther, Ashiq Mohammad Parray, Malik Mehraj-ud-Din Kandoori, Ghulam Nabi Reshi and many other senior poets.
During the day, the poets recited their poems on diverse themes in local vernacular language.
