Micro Solar Power Grid installed at Gaggarhill

SRINAGAR: Indian Army is always sensitive and forthcoming to assuage the problem faced by the locals and is ever willing to lead and support them on the path of progress and prosperity. In yet another significant effort the Indian Army dedicated a 1 KVA Micro Solar Grid at Gaggar Hill in a joint effort with Aseem Foundation.
It is perhaps a first of its kind in the country with power limiter, bifacial half cut modules. Being aware of the issues and challenges faced by the locals in these for flung areas, Army facilitated the identification of most needy villages and liaised with Pune based ASEEM foundation, who provided the system and deployed it on ground with its technical team.
The pilot project is a huge leap towards greater reliance on renewable energy and will mitigate the deprivations in regular power supply due to frequent cuts and vagaries of weather. The project was dedicated to the village by Commander Pir Panjal Brigade .
