Attack by stray dogs leaves several sheep injured in Handwara

Handwara: Over one dozen sheep were attacked and injured by a pack of stray dogs in Rajwar area of Handwara in north Kashmir’s Kupwara district on Tuesday.
Locals of the area said that stray dogs attacked a flock of sheep of Ali Mohammad Bajad in Bawan Watsar village of Rajwar Handwara Tuesday morning and injured over one dozen sheep, in which several sheep received serious injuries.
They said that from the past couple of weeks a group of stray dogs are roaming in the locality and not only the livestock, several people mostly children were injured by them, resulting in panic created among the local people of the area. The people appealed to the administration to take immediate steps to catch these dogs otherwise people will take action by their own.
