RAMBAN: Chief Medical Officer, Ramban, Dr. Mohammad Fareed Bhat today urged people to adhere to social distancing norms as per standard protocols issued by the Government from time-to-time to keep the Covid-19 infection at bay.
He said Ramban has become Covid free and no active case is presently in the district.
The CMO said that under Phases I & II, the Health Care and Frontline Workers are being administered Covid-19 vaccination and so far 56 percent achievement has been recorded.
“This shall be followed by vaccination of people above the age of 50 years,” he said, while urging the remaining healthcare and frontline workers to take the vaccine.
Urging the people to strictly adhere to social distancing norms, the CMO especially advised the Higher & School Education departments to ensure that all protocols are followed, in view of the reopening of the schools and colleges. “We shall request the District Administration to distribute masks and sanitizers amongst students & teachers as well as people free of cost,” he added.
