Uri fire incident: One more succumbs, toll reaches three

BARAMULLA: The fire incident in Sultandaki Uri in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district claimed one more life and the toll of death reached three.
Officials confirm that a woman injured in the incident succumbed to her injuries Tuesday at SKIMS two days after her son succumbed.
Five people including mother son were received burn injuries on February 7 this month when fire broke out in several hay stocks in Sultandaki village of border town Uri, all the injured were shifted to sub district hospital Uri where from three seriously injured were shifted to SKIMS hospital Srinagar where one Sajid Ahmad passed away on the next day of the incident.
The injured Wahid Ahmad passed away two days ago, while his mother Roshi Begum, wife of Abdul Rashid Khan also succumbed on Tuesday and the toll of dead people reached three.
The local people of the area appealed to the administration to provide compensation to the victims’ families so that they can survive again.
