Baramulla: Police on Friday said that they held a drug peddler in the Boniyar area of Uri Baramulla and recovered psychotropic substances from his possession.
In a statement issued on Friday police said that in continuation to the drive against drugs a police party of police station Boniyar arrested a drug peddler namely as Mudasir Ahmad Tantaray son of Farid Ahmad Tantaray of Boniyar at present Khanpora Baramulla and recovered 67 bottles of Codeine Phosphate from his possession. They said that the accused was arrested during routine naka checking at Children’s park Boniyar.
The police added that a case FIR number 08/2021 under section 08/22 NDPS Act has been registered in police station Boniyar and further Investigation is on.
