Family gets police help to shift patient to hospital

Baramulla: A team of police station Sheeri in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district helped a family while shifting their pregnant lady to hospital on Tuesday night where she delivered a child.
Officials in the police said that they received a phone call from a family of Manzgam village around 3 am Tuesday night when their vehicle in which a pregnant lady was on way to hospital, trapped in snow covered road, they said soon after information a team of police station Sheeri headed by station house officer (SHO) Sajad Ahmad reached the spot and help the family and shift the lady to GMC Baramulla where she born a child, and both mother and child are now safe.
The family and other people of the area hailed police for their timely action in which they saved the life of mother and her new born child.
