Unexploded shell defused by army in Uri sector

Baramulla: Army on Thursday defused an unexploded shell along the Line of Control (LoC) in Uri sector of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district.
Official sources in the police said that some local people of Kamalkote village reported that there is a shell which came from across the border in November past year and it is still unexploded.
Talking note police and armies bomb disposal squad (BDS) reached the spot and defused the shell, the officials said
There had been shelling between the forces of India and Pakistan in several sectors of north Kashmir including in Uri sector in which several people lost their lives while scores of residential houses and other structures were damaged. Later the teams of army and police defused dozens of unexploded shells in Uri and Kupwara sectors, however one shell at Kamalkote sector was still alive and was a big threat for the lives of the area.
