Muslim neighbours helped Kashmiri Pandit family perform last rites of son in Baramulla

BARAMULLA: The large number of Muslim’s came forward on Sunday and helped one of their Kashmiri Pandith family during the last rites of their beloved son who was died on Saturday.
Lokash Bhat 28 alias Raju son of Satish Bhat resident of Dewanbagh Baramulla passed away on Saturday after a long battle with his life, the lone son of his family was injured in a car accident some six months ago, and finally died on Saturday at SKIMS.
On Sunday when his body was shifted to his home town Baramulla, large number of people from Muslim community who are also neighbours of Pandith family came forward and helped the Pandith family in the last rites of Raju.
The officials of the district administration and police also joined hands with the people and helped the Pandit family whose maximum relatives are still not in the town.
Khalid Mehmood a neighbour of the Pandith family said that as they heard the sad news of death of Raju they reached their home and joined with the family. He said Raju was just like their own son, he said from past two days we are living with Pandith family and will remember Raju always. He said it was our duty to help the family as they are our neighbours.
The Hindu family also thanked their all Muslim brothers and officials of the district administration and police who came forward and helped them in this time.
