JKTF organises convention on NEP, enrollment drive in Pampore

Pampore: Jammu Kashmir Teachers Forum organised a day long convention regarding new education policy and enrollment drive at Townhall Pampore in South Kashmir’s Pulwama district on Monday.
A programme was organised by Jammu Kashmir Teacher’s forum hosted by district Pulwama at Townhall Pampore on new education policy and enrollment drive. Large number of teachers attended the one day convention
President EJAC and Chairman teachers forum Mohammad Rafiq Rather was Chief guest, while as Teachers forum President and Spokesman of EJC Mohammad Afzal Bhat, Provincial President Showkat Ali Beigh, Provincial secretary, Gulam Hassan Zargar, Provincial Secretary Peerzada Altaf Ahmad and Corddinator Irshad Ahmad and Mukhtar Ahmad Tantray, Mohammad Subhan Bhat, Khazir Mohammad Lone were guest of honor on the occasion.
A huge gathering participated in the programme.
Farooq Ahmad Bhat Ex Zonal President Pampore, District President Budgam Dar Ajaz, district president Ghulam Mohidin Mir, District Secretary Mohammad Amin Bhat, District Executive member Ali Mohammed Chat, District Media Secretary Gulzar Nehami, Zonal President Tral Abdul Hamid, Zonal President Lurgam Bashir Ahmad, Zonal President Pampore Mr Bilal Ahmad Wani and representative of Zone Awantipora Zone Kakapora were also present during the occasion.
The chairman of Teachers forum Rafiq Ahmad Rather while speaking stressed on a strong union and dedication of teachers to their job. In his address Mohammad Afzal Bhat, the President of JKTF, discussed various issues confronting teachers and their redressal at directorate office. He also stressed that teachers should shoulder their job as parents and teach the students in a friendly and cordial atmosphere. The gathering was also addressed by representatives of various districts of the valley.
The programme was concluded on vote of thanks by Mukhtar Ahmad Tantray.
“The department has started an enrollment drive. Around one lakh new admissions were seen in government schools after the drive. Earlier students were moving towards private schools and student enrollment was decreasing. Now the department has taken this initiative with the teachers forum and it was in this context that a debate and discussion was held to see how necessary infrastructure will be provided to the influx of students, ” Mohammad Rafiq Rather told Kashmir Reader.
He also appreciated Director school education for taking a keen interest in the programme.
” On the directions of the director school education department one lakh students were enrolled, now It is the responsibility of all teachers to provide good quality education to the students, take good care of them,” President JKTF Mohammad Afzal Bhat told Kashmir Reader.
“Teachers forum will support teachers who spend their time in understanding difficulties of students and if such teachers face any problem we will be with them,” he said, adding that teachers forum will not support teachers who shy away from their responsibilities.
