JKECC holds protest, demand pending salaries for ICDS employees

SRINAGAR: The Jammu & Kashmir Employees Coordination Committee (JKECC) on Monday held a protest demonstration here in Srinagar demanding streamlining of the salaries of ICDS supervisors and release of their pending salaries.
Scores of the women Supervisors working in ICDS department from various areas of the Kashmir valley assembled here in a press enclave under the banner of the Jammu & Kashmir Employees Coordination Committee and Chanting the slogans in favour of their genuine demands.
The protesting Supervisor from the ICDS department said that they are working in the department upon the Supervisors posts. But they are performing their duties regularly in the department.
” We are demanding the government to release our salaries on an immediate basis which is pending from the last eight months in the department,” they said.
The protesting Supervisors said there are nearly 1525 supervisors across Jammu and Kashmir which are facing the financial crisis in their homes due non- availability of the salaries on proper time.
” The government should streamline salaries of the supervisors in the ICDS department, so that the supervisors will get their salaries on proper time,” they added.
The protesting Supervisors requested the Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir to look into the matter and release of their pending salaries.
