Doctors at SDH Pampore remove 14 mm calculus from patients kidney

Pampore: Sub district hospital Pampore performed Pyelolithotomy with Spinal anesthesia, a procedure for removing kidney stone which was done at the hospital for the first time performed at Sub district hospital Pampore, doctors said on Friday.
“14 mm stone was removed from the patients kidney, usually such procedures are done in tertiary care hospital, Dr. Nawab Khan, told Kashmir Reader.
“The Patient was evaluated in the backdrop of his deranged investigations .It was a demanding case as he was reluctant to attend endourology services at tertiary hospital. ,” Dr. Mohammad Ashraf , Registered Medical Officer (RMO) , SDH Pampore told Kashmir Reader, adding that it was for the first such a surgery was performed here.
He added that it took the doctors 45 minutes to perform the surgery.
The team comprised Dr Nawab Khan ,Dr Irshad Kuchay,Dr Yousuf Tak, Dr Tajamul Hussian and Dr Ulfat.
The Technical staff included Technologists Naseer Ahmad Pandit, Nisar Khanday, Mir Mushtaq, Javed Ahmad,Miss Shaafi, Mohammad Ishaq and Mohammad Shafi.
Radiologist Dr Malik Irshad provided a quality scan and marked the calculus position and logistic support was provided by Dr Gulzar Ahmad Block Medical Officer (BMO) Pampore and Dr Mohammad Ashraf (RMO) Pampore.
The Sub district hospital management Pampore appreciated the team and congratulated them for the successful operation.
