BARAMULLA: In continuation to the enrollment drive and community mobilization program, a grand celebration was held in educational zone Chandoosa on Saturday. Ghulam Mohammad Lone chief education officer, Balbir Singh deputy chief education officer Baramulla, Nazir Ahmad district culture coordinator, Sheikh Haroon and Syed Ishfaq Noor DRG participated. Moreover parents, panchayat members, VEC’s and children also participated in the graceful event.
Harmeet Kour zonal education officer, Mohammad Ashraf Lone zonal education officer planing and team of resource persons warmly welcomed the officers and presented the overall achievement regarding the initiative of enrollment drive in the zone. Pertinently, more than 800 fresh children have been enrolled so far in the government schools of said zone.
While speaking chief education officer Baramulla appreciated the zonal administration, Resource group and teachers for taking the initiative as missionary mode.
He expressed hope that they will continue to contribute in a better and efficient way.
He also said, that the performance of government schools is improving rapidly and the focus is being laid to provide quality education.
He emphasised that huge investment is being released into education department in order to cater the deficiencies and the need is to understanding it’s importance.
While urging parents to repose faith and enroll their wards in government schools he said, we have highly qualified, efficient and skilled teachers who are ready to deliver and focus is being laid to provide quality education and learning outcomes besides all other initiatives including free education, textbooks, meals, uniforms, provision of scholarships etc.
It is pertinent to mention that the team visited various villages of the zone including Faqirbagh, Sultanpora, Dudbugh and Bandipayeen.
