SHOPIAN: In order to generate the category wise database of the population of district for universal administration of COVID-19 Vaccine, Additional Deputy Commissioner, Shopian, Dr. Sheikh Abdul Aziz today sensitized the concerned Officers and other staff about the pre vaccination survey.
At the outset, the ADC briefed the concerned about the various aspects of the COVID-19 Vaccine roll out and explained the modalities for the collection, storage, distribution and inoculation of the vaccine.
He further informed that vaccination booths have been identified across the district. Besides this some mobile booths shall be established, he added. Aziz said that prior to vaccination, the category wise database of the population of the district shall be generated through teams comprising two vaccinator from Health department, two logistic from FMPHW, education department, NGO, ASHA Workers, Anganwadi Workers and 2 crowd management from police, volunteers, NYC, REKS.
The teams, he said, shall be mandated first to maintain the category wise data base of the population surveyed and then to administer Vaccine as per the identified priority groups.
The four categories of priority groups to be identified includes the Health workers, Frontline workers who are directly linked with the management of COVID-19 pandemic, the persons above the age of 50 years or persons with co- morbidity and general public.
Among others the meeting was attended by Chief Medical officer, Dr Rameesh Ji, District Information Officer Mr. Showkat Ahmad Khan, District Youth Services & Sports Officer Gurmukh Singh Dutta, District Social Welfare Officer, Mohammad Shaifat, District Immunization Officer, and other concerned.
