Webinar on Jan Andolan for Covid organised by FOB  Doda

In an effort to carry forward the clarion call of Prime Minister regarding the Jan Andolan for Covid Appropriate Behaviour” Regional Outreach Bureau J&K is organising a series of webinars in almost all the districts of J&K, UT through its Field Outreach Bureaus. In this series FOB Doda in association with District Administration Ramban organised a webinar in which Sh. Harbans Lal Sharma (KAS) Additional District Commissioner Ramban, Dr Fareed Ahmad Chief Medical Officer Ramban spoke about the different aspects of the pandemic.
Harbans Lal Sharma, Additional District Commissioner Ramban in his address highlighted the efforts of Distt administration in containing the pandemic. He praised the role of health clubs established with the help of PRI Members in all the panchayats of district. He also mentioned the important role being played by the mobile vans in spreading the awareness regarding the spread of virus. He specially mentioned the challenge of conducting DDC elections wile following all the SOPs of COVID.  He further appealed to public to follow the SOPs.
Neha Jalali, Deputy Director Regional Outreach Bureau/ PIB J&K in her welcome address appreciated the steps taken by the corona warriors along with the District Administration and Health Department during the COVID pandemic.  She said that district administrations, Ramban and the Health Department have played a crucial role in containing the spread of the virus.  She insisted that the public should follow the SOPs related to Covid. She also thanked the district administration for extending their full cooperation and coordination in conducting the Webinar
Dr Fareed Ahmad Chief Medical Officer Ramban shared the detailed information about the challenges of Covid-19 especially during the winter season. He cautioned the public for not to take the virus casually as the pandemic is not over yet. He narrated the tag line “Jab Tak Dawai Nahi Tab Tak Dhilaye Nahi’’. He was also informed about the preparations being made by the health department for receiving the vaccine in future.
Dr Bharat Singh Assistant Professor Govt. Degree College Ramban spoke about the role of the public in fighting the pandemic. He quoted many real life examples where people have deeply shown their concern for their safety. He praised the people of the country for giving donations in PM cares fun.He informed that GDC Ramban has specially created a taskforce of NSS volunteers for helping the department in tackling the challenges related to covid. He stated that behavioural change is the main weapon in defeating the virus.
During the webinar, two students of GDC Ramban spoke about the proper masking of hands and face masking. The young students taught the ways of cleaning the hands and wearing the face mask properly. One of the students termed improper masks equal to wearing no mask. She said that a loose or sagging mask is like wearing no mask as it can’t prevent the virus from entering our respiratory tract. Similarly cleaning our hand without soaps or sanitizer helps the virus spread fast. Washing the hands even with soap for less than 20 seconds is also not sufficient for containing the virus.
