ANTF seizes heroin worth 1.5 crore  in Awantipora

Srinagar: Anti-narcotic Task Force (ANTF) on Friday claimed to have seized contraband worth 1.5 crores from an alleged ‘notorious drug dealer’ at Malangpora Awantipora in south-Kashmir’s Pulwama district.
A statement in this regard issued reads that on receipt of specific information about a drug smuggling bid being carried out by a notorious drug dealer in a Maruti Suzuki car bearing Registration number JK-18 8056, the ANTF team swung into action and intercepted the suspicious car at Malangpora Awantipora.
The car, as per the statement, was searched and the driver apprehended which was followed by recovery of Herion-like substance worth market value of 1.5 Crore.
Identifying the apprehended ‘drug dealer’ as one Abdul Rasheed Bhat son of Ghulam Mohammed Bhat residence Larkipora in Awantipora, the statement reads further that an FIR has been registered in this regard under relevant sections of law and further investigations taken up.
More arrests are expected in this regard, the statements reads further.
