Missing minor boy’s body found on Budgam road

Relatives demand proper investigation

Budgam: A three year old boy from Chewdara village in Budgam district who had gone missing on Tuesday evening and was found dead Wednesday morning outside the village.
Burhan Ahmad Najar son of Hilal Ahmad Najar resident of Chewdara village in Beerwah tehsil had gone missing nearly 4:45 PM outside his home on Tuesday from the village said a relative, Abdul Rehman Najar.
“After the children did not come back to his home, the locals made an announcement on loudspeaker about the missing of the children from the village,” he said.
Adding that villagers come out from their homes during the evening hours and starting the
searching for the missing children. However, after frantic search they did not find him in the village.
However, Wednesday morning at 9:30 AM his body was found along Chewdara – Wanihuma road.
The relatives handed it over to the police to know the cause of his death” he added.
Ashiq Ahmad Najar, another close relative of the child told the Kashmir Reader that we are demanding the proper investigation into the cause and want the proper punishment against those who will be found guilty for this heinous crime
Ashiq said that on Tuesday evening hours, when the local people searched the same place where the body of Burhan was found . They did not find the body or any signs of the child there.
An official from the Police station Beerwah told the Kashmir Reader that FIR have been registered in the police station under FIR no. 272 under section 363 IPC and investigations have been set into motion.
