BARAMULLA: A little boy who was hit by a Maruti car on Tuesday afternoon in Trehgam area of Kupwara district succumbed to his injuries at district hospital Handwara on Wednesday.
Sources said that a 5-year-old boy, identified as Wasir Ahmad Wani, son of Abdul Rashid Wani, resident of Hanjipora Trehgam Kupwara, was hit by a Maruti car bearing registration number JK09A-7417 near his home on Tuesday afternoon. He was shifted to sub-district hospital Kupwara from where he was shifted to district hospital Handwara. However, on Wednesday morning the minor boy succumbed to his injuries.
Police said they have registered a case under relevant sections of law and further investigation is on.
