B.Ed students protest, seeking KU hold online exams

Srinagar: The B.Ed students of 3rd and 4th Semester on Monday held a protest demonstration here in Srinagar demanding the Kashmir University to conduct their exams in online mode instead of the offline exams.
Scores of students include boys and girls from various areas of the Kashmir valley assembled here in press enclave holding banners in their hands which reads “wake up Kashmir University”, “we demand online exams”, “offline exams unacceptable”, “Covid-19 stay home stay safe” and “we want justice”.
The protesting students said that they preferred that the Kashmir University should conduct the offline exams of all the students.
Syed Abida Gulazar, one of the protesting students said that we are students of 3rd and 4th semester. As earlier University has issued the notification for conducting online exams of the students. We have submitted our emails, Watts up numbers and phone numbers to the university. so that our exams can be conducted in the online mode.
“Before two days ago the university issued a date sheet for our examinations. Only ten days have been left, how is it possible for us to prepare for the exams within a short period of time,” She said.
She said that most of the students from outside of the Kashmir valley are also coming to participate in exams, as due to the spread of the covid-19 we students are not feeling secure to participate with other students who will be coming to Kashmir Valley to participate with us. We are demanding the Kashmir University to conduct our exams online.
The protesting students urge the Kashmir university administration to conduct their exams online instead of the offline mode of exams.
