Ganderbal: Police in Ganderbal arrested one person for duping several persons on Saturday.
Police in its statement said Police Station Kheerbhawani was approached by one Noor Mohammad Zargar son of Ghulam Ahmad Zargar a resident of Ibrahim Colony Theeru Ganderbal that his son Aijaz Ahmad Zargar who is running a Gold Jewellery shop under the name and style of “Chinar Jewellers” at Duderhama Ganderbal is missing since 20th October. Upon this information a missing report was entered and a sharp search was put into motion by Police Station Kheerbhawani.
However after thorough search and verification it came to fore that the said missing person has cheated a good number of people from Ganderbal and other areas and has duped their hard earnings therefore is absconding to evade legal action.
In this regard various complaints were received by both Police station Ganderbal and Police Station Kheerbhawani viz.Case FIR 43/2020 U/S 420 IPC of P/S Kheerbhawani, Case FIR No 226/2020 U/S 420 IPC of P/S Ganderbal and Case FIR No 227/2020 U/S 420 IPC of P/S Ganderbal
Finally on 6th of November said person was traced out and arrested in case FIR No 43/2020 U/S 420 IPC of P/S Kheerbhawani and investigation was set into motion.
