BARAMULLA: The unscheduled power cuts irked residents of Deluna area of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district.
The locals of the area alleged that from past several weeks the power development department (PDD) necessary cuts their electricity due to which people are facing hardships.
Taseer Afzal a local resident said that their area is metered and the department should provide them 24 hours power supply, however they are providing us only a few hours of power supply and they are forcing us to come on the roads for protest.
He said there are at least grid stations in the village who are providing electricity to several areas of the valley but our area is without facing hardships.
“We have no issue with a three hours break but the department resorts to unscheduled cuts during when power has to remain on ,which is bothering us,” he added.
Similarly, the other villagers said that if the department will not solve their problem, they will hit the streets.
